Three first-Stand routes, one replacement route
The Student’s Encyclopedia visible at 0:42 in CHALLS’s 13 October 2026 obtainment video lists three ways to get your first Stand: a qualifying fight knockout, winning an Occult Club case without a Stand, or filling an Arrow’s compatibility meter. It separately describes rerolling after you own one. We read the filmed interface on 18 October; we did not run these routes in the current client.
If you already own a stand and need to call it out, use awakening and summoning instead of spending resources on a replacement. Before any roll, read the current confirmation screen for cost and replacement warnings.
| Route | Required starting state | Rule printed in the filmed Encyclopedia |
|---|---|---|
| Fight knockout | No Stand; another fighter knocks you out in a real fight | 1 in 5 per eligible knockout; at most one chance per minute. |
| Occult case | Win a case while you have no Stand | 1 in 20, checked shortly after returning to school. |
| Stand Arrow | Acquire and retain an Arrow | 100% compatibility grants a Stand; an existing owner receives a different one. |
| Reroll | Already own a Stand | 100 Rerolls or 10 Arrow Shards; a different result, not a guaranteed rarity improvement. |
Fight route: eligible knockouts, not resets
In the filmed rule, another fighter must knock you out during a real fight. Resetting, falling and a hit when you have only one health do not qualify. The interface allows at most one chance per minute. If the check succeeds, awakening occurs on the spot; otherwise that attempt has not granted a Stand.
The footage prints 1 in 5 (20%), conflicting with Fans First Booyah’s older approximately 10% report. We use the dated interface rule, not a measured current probability. Neither rate promises success after a fixed number of losses; no pity counter is established here.
Occult case route: check after returning
For a character without a Stand, the recorded Encyclopedia describes a 1-in-20 check after winning a case and arriving back at school. A shard payout is a separate result: do not mistake receiving currency for successful awakening. This rule does not say that every task-board objective is a completed case.
Use the school guide for the attributed Occult room and board lead. A full case-objective walkthrough has not been established here; do not assume the short quest-board video proves this particular awakening check was completed.
Arrow route: pickup, compatibility and failure states
At 3:00 the same video shows the Encyclopedia’s Arrow instructions. It requires a server with at least three players, allows one Arrow at a time, and describes a five-minute lifetime if it stays on the ground. These are filmed rules, not a spawn timer or a guaranteed location.
- Watch for the spawn notice and purple marker, then locate the Arrow. There is no verified fixed spawn map here.
- Approach and hold E to pick it up. The filmed instructions describe a compatibility meter that advances in pulses while your feet are on the ground.
- Keep it until compatibility reaches 100%. It activates automatically: a first Stand if you have none, or a different Stand if you already own one.
- Expect other players to see the carrier’s purple outline. Knockdown, leaving the map, sitting, starting a lesson or sport, and the named hiding skills drop the Arrow. Cream, Sticky Fingers and King Crimson are specifically listed.
- The filmed rule uses two E presses for a deliberate drop and prevents another pickup for 30 minutes after an Arrow works for you. Check your current controls and cooldown before chasing another.
Reroll: a replacement, not an upgrade guarantee
The recorded Encyclopedia confirms the stated replacement costs: 100 Rerolls currency or ten Arrow Shards, once you already own a Stand. It excludes your existing Stand from the result. Shard-first spending remains a Fans First Booyah report, not a spending order demonstrated in this footage.
Noth’s 8 October profile footage shows the Stand Reroll control at 2:45, under Menu → Profile → Stand. Inspect the cost confirmation before accepting. Do not confuse it with the separate Fighting style or identity rerolls on the same screen.
The seven reported codes total 105 Rerolls currency and 210 shards. Under those reported costs, that is 21 shard-funded changes plus one currency-funded change: 22 total, with five Rerolls currency left. This is conditional arithmetic, not a payout or redemption guarantee. Confirm balances and eligibility first.

Questions
What is the chance of a stand from death?
CHALLS’s 13 October Encyclopedia footage prints 1 in 5 for a qualifying fight knockout, at most once per minute. An older article says about 10%. Neither is our measured current probability; resets and falls are excluded by the filmed rule.
Can I craft a stand arrow?
No crafting recipe was verified in the sources checked. That does not prove crafting is impossible. The reports distinguish shard currency from world-spawn Arrows.
